- What it is
- WordLingo is gamified Bible learning for a general 12+ audience — a Duolingo-shaped Learn path wrapped in the same orange, premium feel as WordStash. Offline-first so Foundations, Daily, and the BSB reader work without a network; sync, Ask, Circles, and live League kick in when you're signed in.
- Core loop
- Walk a linear Learn path (Foundations, Hebrew, Greek, 365 Challenge). Seal a Bible Daily habit with six quests — quiz, verse, word, devotional, history, manna — win with a quiz or any three quests to light your Lamp streak. Climb the Lamp League, join private Circles for accountability, and Explore Topics, Bible, Dictionary, and Circles. Profile lives off the Learn avatar, not as a tab.
- Ask & Explore
- Ask is scripture-only Q&A — local BSB retrieval plus a Gemini-backed edge function, capped at 20 messages a day. Explore ships ~150 topics, Easton's dictionary (~3972), a BSB reader, Matthew Henry commentary, and Strong's on Learn concordance. Scripture is never invented.
- Lamp Circles & League
- Lamp Circles are invite-only accountability groups — create, join, leave, and see who lit today (League + Explore Circles). League is a live top board (Top 10 / 20 / 50) with an offline mock fallback. Soft Sign Out keeps local progress; delete account clears cloud data.
- Stack
- Expo SDK 57, React Native, Expo Router with native tabs, expo-sqlite, Supabase (Auth + Postgres + Edge), Sign in with Apple, TanStack Query, Zustand, expo-notifications, expo-widgets (Lamp streak). Design tokens shared with WordStash — orange #FF9644, Poppins.
- Status
- Public TestFlight beta (v1.4.0). Learn, Daily, League, Lamp Circles MVP, Explore, Ask, Profile/Settings, local reminders, and the iOS Lamp widget are live. Android/web and a public social feed are explicit non-goals for v1.
