What it is
- WordStash gives people a place to capture, collect, and revisit the thoughts that matter (quotes, verses, vocabulary, original ideas) instead of losing them to the feed or doomscroll. Dark, editorial, premium. Stay mindful. Keep stashing.
Core loop
- Discover stashes in a masonry feed (For You / Following). Compose a thought from anywhere. Open the Daily tab for a 7-question quiz, verse, word, and quote of the day. Climb the Stash League leaderboard and connect with other readers.
Gamification
- XP earned per quiz answer scales with speed and session streak. Five levels: Apprentice → Scholar → Sage → Luminary → Genius. Daily streaks tracked on app open and foreground resume. Weekly rotating challenges. 15 achievements across stashing, streaks, social, and reading milestones. Monthly recap on rollover.
Notifications & reminders
- Daily nudges at 8am, 12pm, and 6pm. Quiz reminder at 7pm if the day's session isn't done. Streak-at-risk alert at 8pm, auto-cancelled on first stash or read. Milestone push for 3/7/14/21/30/50/100-day streaks. Achievement unlocks trigger local notifications. iOS home-screen widget syncs streak, stash count, and XP in real time.
Stack
- Expo SDK 56, React Native, Expo Router with native tabs, Expo Widgets and Expo UI (SwiftUI). Firebase Auth (username + shadow email) & Storage. Zustand + AsyncStorage for local state. react-native-reanimated for animations. iOS StashStats home-screen widget.
Status
- Live on the App Store. Feed, reader, compose, Daily rituals, Board, and profiles are the current focus. Library (books, saved collections, notes) is feature-flagged off while the stash core stabilises.
